Terms and Conditions of Service
1. Must be 21+ years of age and have a valid Driver's License to rent and/or operate any equipment. This includes but is not limited to, boats, wave runners, kayaks, etc. If paying by credit card the name on the driver's license must be the same name on the credit card used.
2. The Renter and any Operators of rented equipment born on or after September 1, 1993 must complete the Texas Parks & Wildlife Boater Education Course. Information about taking the Boater Education Course, Safety Courses, and other boater education courses can be found online at the Texas Parks & Wildlife website. Proof of the Boater Education Course must be presented on or before the time of rental. All rented equipment may have different age restrictions to operate based on the equipment type (see Blue Ox Boat Rentals representative for details).
3. There is no smoking/vaping policy on all rented equipment. This includes but is not limited to, boats, wave runners, kayaks, etc.
4. Please leave all pets at home; all rentals are pet-free.
5. Reservation Policy: The non-refundable Damage Waiver Fee ($79.00) plus the cost of the rental is required at the time of the reservation request.

Non-Holiday:

If the cancellation is made at least 8 days prior to the day of the reservation you will receive a full refund.

If the cancellation is made prior to 48 hours (and less than 8 days) of the reservation you will receive a 50% refund.

Holiday/Holiday Weekend:

If the cancellation is made at least 31 days prior to the day of the reservation you will receive a full refund.

If the cancellation is made prior to 48 hours (and less than 30 days) of the reservation you will receive a 50% refund.

All cancellations (Holiday or Non-Holiday) made within 48 hours of the reservation will receive a 30 day credit from the original reservation rate to use toward a future reservation. The credit will expire if not used 30 days after the original reservation date.
7. Weather Related Cancellation: Blue Ox Boat Rentals reserves the right to cancel any rental due to unsafe weather conditions.

If you have any concerns regarding the weather on the day of your outing, please contact Blue Ox Boat Rentals (936-628-5000) for any possible changes to your reservation.

If there is inclement weather (storms with high winds, lightening, and/or thunder) at the time of your reservation and we cancel your outing, you will be contacted and provided an option of a refund or a credit.

If there is inclement weather during your outing and we call you back to the dock, cancelling your outing, you will be provided a partial credit for the time unused.
8. Arriving Late for Reservation: Contact Blue Ox Boat Rentals at 936-628-5000.
We understand that unexpected delays or issues may arise, and we are committed to working with our customers to accommodate their needs. If you are running late for your reservation, we kindly ask that you give us a call to notify us. If your delay is no more than 30 minutes, we will hold your reservation. However, if you are more than 30 minutes late without contacting us, your reservation will be cancelled without credit. Additionally, if you do arrive late for your reservation, please note that you will not be allotted additional time to make up for the time lost.
9. Late Returns: Contact Blue Ox Boat Rentals at 936-628-5000.
If you are late returning the watercraft or equipment rental, there will be a charge of $50 for every 15 minutes the watercraft or equipment is not returned to the dock, with no exceptions. We ask that you please plan your rental time accordingly to avoid any additional charges. If you have any concerns about returning the watercraft on time, please feel free to contact our team for assistance or guidance.
10. Rental Agreement: All renters must sign a Rental Agreement before commencing their rental period, acknowledging that they understand and agree to comply with these terms.
11. Safety and emergency gear, as required by law, is standard on every rental and is to used in accordance. Any other usage or misuse will be subject to a full replacement charge.
12. All Renters and Operators will receive an orientation from an Authorized Blue Ox Boat Rentals Representative on all safety equipment and safety tips. Renters and Operators must adhere to all safety instructions and guidelines provided by Blue Ox Boat Rentals.

Life jackets and safety equipment provided must be worn as instructed.

Texas state law states that all children under 13 years of age must wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket AT ALL TIMES (including drifting or not at anchor).

Adults must have a properly fitting life jacket that is easily accessible.

13. Damage Waiver: The $79.00 damage waiver is a non-refundable fee that covers up to $500.00 in accidental damage. For example, if you are in the Lake and hit a floating piece of debris causing damage to watercraft, which can be as little as $400 to repair, it would be covered under the damage waiver. Any negligent behavior that causes damages voids the damage waiver.
14. Renters are responsible for ALL damages or Loss to the boat, watercraft, and rental equipment that is above and beyond the "Accidental" Damage Waiver during the rental period.
15. Renters and Operators assumes ALL liability for damages incurred to the rented boat, watercraft, equipment, person, vehicle, or other item during the rental period.
16. No person shall be allowed to operate the rented boat, watercraft, or equipment if said person has an apparent physical or mental handicap, is under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, hallucinogens, or any other substance which impairs the person's faculties or ability to operate the boat, watercraft, or equipment.
17. Renters and Operators agree to obey all ordinances and laws regarding the operation of the rented boat, watercraft, or equipment and agree to return the rented boat, watercraft, or equipment promptly and in good condition upon completion of the rental.
18. Limitation of Liability: Blue Ox Boat Rentals is not responsible for personal injuries or property damage arising from the renter's or operator's use of the rental boat, watercraft, or equipment, except as provided by law.
19. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions will be resolved through negotiation, or if necessary, legal proceedings in a court of competent jurisdiction.
20. Modifications to Terms: Blue Ox Boat Rentals reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

22. Acknowledgment: By renting from Blue Ox Boat Rentals, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Blue Ox Boat Rentals shall reserve the right and obligation to refuse rental when it is deemed in the best interest of the Operator's safety or of the leased equipment. This includes but is not limited to: Operator's appearance of sobriety, weather conditions, or any other reason at the discretion of Blue Ox Boat Rentals Owners or Authorized Representative of Blue Ox Boat Rentals.
